Elegant and powerful workout tracker built purely for the gym — supporting sets, reps, supersets, dropsets, HIIT intervals, distance running, and time-based exercises with Scandinavian-minimal design.

The Challenge

Most gym tracking apps are cluttered, over-engineered, and feel like spreadsheets with buttons — intimidating for casual lifters and frustrating for serious athletes who want to log fast between sets.

The Solution

Designed a workout tracker that prioritises speed and clarity, with a Scandinavian-minimal interface that handles everything from basic sets/reps to advanced supersets, dropsets, RPE tracking, and pace logging — all without cognitive overload.

Dropset is a gym workout tracker that strips away the noise and focuses on what matters: logging your lifts fast, tracking progress clearly, and looking good doing it. Built with Scandinavian design principles, every screen is intentional — no feature bloat, no cluttered dashboards, just the tools you actually use in the gym.

Challenge

The fitness app market is saturated with apps that try to be everything — meal planners, social networks, exercise libraries, and workout trackers all crammed into one. The result is interfaces that take 5+ taps to log a single set. Serious gym-goers either revert to Notes app or paper, while beginners give up tracking entirely. The challenge was building something that serves both audiences without compromise.

Solution

Dropset takes a “less but better” approach. The core interaction — logging a set — is designed to be achievable in under 2 seconds. Advanced features like supersets (linked exercises), dropsets (tagged), warmup tags, and RPE tracking are there when you need them but never in the way when you don’t. A flexible scheduling system adapts to push/pull/legs, upper/lower, or any custom split without forcing a rigid structure.

Key Features

  • Universal Logging — sets, reps, distance, pace, duration, and intervals in one unified interface
  • Supersets & Dropsets — link exercises together or tag drop sets with visual connections
  • Warmup & RPE Tags — mark warmup sets and rate perceived exertion without extra screens
  • Workout & Exercise Notes — annotate at both the session and movement level
  • Flexible Scheduling — plan workouts around your split, not around the app’s assumptions
  • Community — connect with other lifters, share workouts, and exchange knowledge
  • Streaks & Cooldowns — gamified consistency tracking that motivates without guilt-tripping
  • Body Metrics — health tracking integration for weight, measurements, and progress photos
